The Lord is Angry at Us; Vote Republican

Do you think that it is any coincidence that there was a massive earthquake in Haiti? Or how about the seismic phenomenon that rocked Chile? Or, better yet, how about that recent one in Turkey?

Did you see all of the snow this year? 48 out of 50 states had a White Valentine's Day. Is that normal at all?

My friends, this is not global warming. This is not climate change. This is not a mere meteorological abnormality. This is God's wrath, and it is just the tip of the melting iceberg that is his all-consuming fury. In the end times, we will be unable to distinguish between the seasons, it is written. The election of the socialist Barack Obama has moved the world dangerously close the ever-precipitous edge of utter apocalypse.

"What must I do to be saved", you ask?

Many of you are guilty of tremendous sin; in that you succumbed to the wiles of the devil and voted for the demon in 2008 despite your good Christian upbringing. Many of you gave in to peer pressure. Many of you just wanted to belong. Many just were weary from the years of famine under Bush.

Had you voted for McCain, the Lord would have blessed you with eight years of plenty! But no, you had to choose sin; therefore you must wander in the desert of despair for the next 40 years. You do not deserve decent health insurance. You do not deserve unemployment benefit extensions. You do not deserve COBRA; for the wages of sin is death.

But despair not! Wallow not in the mire of Despondence; be not transfixed by the empty allure of Vanity Fair! Lo, I have sent to you a political saviour, by which your errors may be forgiven and your souls healed. And lo, her name is Sarah, and she is the scion of my will manifest in human form, Selah.

I will ensure that my child succeeds in her quest to slay the demon in 2012. Fear not, for I am God. However, the political environment must be fertile, so that Sarah may plow her enemies with all the force and might of your Lord.

Therefore, disregard those fallacies which you esteem as erudite; your "common sense" and your "logic", for logic is of the world; and the world is of Satan.

Instead, submit yourselves and your vote to the Party of the Lord. For GOP is only one letter away from GOD. That is not a coincidence. Eschew your carnal needs for such worldly things like "jobs", "healthcare" and "equality". Join your fellow Christian brothers in endeavouring to take back our government, and reestablish the Judeo-Christian roots that our Founding Fathers planted in ancient times. Do not be persuaded by the so-called "facts" and claims of "hypocrisy" from Beelzebub and Cankerworm, those false prophets you know as "Keith Olbermann" and "Rachel Maddow".

Listen instead to my chosen disciples: Brother O'Reilly, Saint Hannity, Sister Coulter, Right Reverend Cavuto, and of course Mary Malkin-dalene.

Do this in 2010 and 2012, and your souls will enter a state of euphoric bliss; with your useless bodies having decayed away from lack of care and proper sustenance. Do this, and know that I am God.

When first reading this I thought 'this person most definitely has taken a nosedive off the deep end!!' I was relieved to see the <sarcasm> insert at bottom.

Anyways......Evil, I just snuck into another hilarious post (Sarah Palin) to reply while here at work, which I'm not supposed to do. But Have Mercy Jesus, your reply of;

was funny as h*ll!! rofl, rofl, (whew, wiping more tears).......ya'll are gonna get me fired. (taking deep breathes to calm myself :-)

But we must remember the real important fact................................
Jesus was a community organizer!!!!!!!!!!! And yes, He may be angry at us, but it is for raping his beloved earth!!!! Love it!!!!!

I think humor and satire is understood - self-pontification on the other hand, probably not.

I would venture a more plausible and logically based reason, If in fact God does exist(jury still out and deadlocked in face of overwhelming evidence leading to NO) I would say that Republicans/Conservatives/TeaBraggers are the punishment for past sins of the nation and a constant reminder that he does work in mysterious unprovable ways by letting them exist in light of the overwhelming evidence that they have no ones good interest in mind save for their own.

    Sprirt, Rita,

In the wake of 9/11 Jerry Falwell basically said the terrorist attacks were a punishment from God and was saying it with all sincerity. I think Robertson suggested something similar. What's your input on that? How about those who say Haiti deserved what it got because so many there aren't good Christians?

Just curious about what you think of someone seriously saying something like this as opposed to this satirical warning of what some theocons will say ( and likely a few already have said ) with the upcoming elections.

OK, look dude, people anthropomorphise Jesus all the time. Jesus isn't a blue-eyed brunette with long surfer-dude hair. Come on.

Jesus did say in the Gospels that Christians should not handle money, that they should work together to help exclusively Christians get ahead, that orphans should be adopted by the community, qnd most of all that the rich should give up all they had so that they may live lives of Christ.

I won't go as far as to call his actions Bolshevik in nature, but he sure as hell ain't no GOP swill-drinker.

      Gotta love the theocon "logic."

A Repub wins, it's the inevitable will of an omnipotent God.

A Dem wins, we should expect disaster for turning against God's Will.

If His Will were truly inevitable, and he is omnipotent, wouldn't that make the Dem winners the ones He wanted at that time? Wouldn't that also make the winners of either party part of "His Plan" and the theocons who bash a Dem leader guilty of questioning "His Will" just because they don't like certain decisions He makes?

let me guess erich.... you have to say probably because you have no clue but still want to act like you have something to say.

want to find out what they are saying in church... why not just go.

I am not saying that you should take up the cause of god or anything like that, just that sometimes it is good to experience certain things for oneself. I once went with a friend of mine to his families church and really didnt expect to much(figuring church is for the most part boring) but I have to say, the way those people praised their god would make you want to go. It was like a celebration of life....

What I have a hard time understanding is: Why were we raised 1) in church, to believe in helping the poor, the infirmed, the imprisoned, 2) in school, taught to share and to become active in our community, and 3) in our home, believing that the actions of men like Robin Hood, at. al., who spoke out, and faught against, tyrany and greed, were good. Then we get involved in politics and everything that we were taught was good and just and right is wrong?

      WTF???

Jesus was a Democrat. The Republican Party of 2010 is proof that God is dead. Let us pray.

lol, well... before and during the CIVIL WAR I guess Jesus was a REPUBLICAN.

he may just switch parties again, or just become an Independent

I'd prefer if Jesus was an Independent... None of that crazy partisanship. But even if Jesus was a Republican or Democrat, partisanship wouldnt really exist, would it? Vote with Jesus, or feel the bloody thunderbolts of Jesus... Hmm, tough choice.

Sorry. Jesus would be a Marxist if He walked the Earth today. Read Matthew 5 and then read the Communist Manifesto.

I did not think this was funny. I've met too many people who have bloviate this stuff when they're being serious. Those people scare me more than any foreign terrorist ever has.

Speaking of which -- and this is off topic -- when will the United States Government declare that street gangs are domestic terrorists and deal with them accordingly?

Just as soon as they start arresting violent White Power gangs on the West Coast and dealing with them in the same manner.

      American History X, anyone?

I'm actually wondering why the United States Government hasn't declared certain "groups" to be domestic terrorists. White Power gangs, for sure. And I don't know why street gangs haven't been labeled domestic terrorists and outlawed.

Well, for that to start, you'd have to increase funding to local police departments, meaning that you'd have to raise taxes...

      Oops! Roadblock.

      Sol-Badguy,

Personally, I am not against taxation. I especially wouldn't mind being taxed more if it meant that violent street gang members were incarcerated for a very, very long time.

The election of the socialist Barack Obama has moved the world dangerously close the ever-precipitous edge of utter apocalypse.

Huh, if you were actually a Christian isn't this what you should WANT? I mean, why are you afraid to go meet Jesus? I know one thing for sure, you have brown eyes, don't you?

Well, suppose that as a God-fearing, Jesus-loving Christian, I would love nothing more than to see myself and 1.5 billion of my compatriots raptured into bliss. That particular want, however, does not inherently outweigh my unwillingness to see 5 billion souls cursed to live through the Tribulation. I do think the Bible says something about unselfishness somewhere...?

And my eyes are deep mocha, not brown XD

Well as a Republican God-Fearing, Jesus-loving Christian wouldn't you first want to become wealthy first through making obscene profits (or winning the Powerball)? I mean the Rapture is great and all but think of the money.

Having conducted many adult bible study classes on the book of Revelation, I find that a lot of what you find in Revelation is symbolism.

That being said, there are three particular veins of ideology in regards to what exactly will happen upon rapture.

Sometimes in blind faith a blind Republican shepherd will lead some blind American sheep to SEE God's Wonders and God's Will.
But, in blindness and without the sight to know - sounds replace the darkness - so the blind Republican and his followers can learn how to Trust whatever is heard about God's Wonders and God's Will.

      Take Care

This is not a mere meteorological abnormality. This is God's wrath, and it is just the tip of the melting iceberg that is his all-consuming fury.

Come on folks see the writing on ....... his hand, the message is clear.
